and now having to study and grade..

I am waiting.
Waiting is painful and irksome and time-consuming.
But I wait because I believe waiting is worthwhile.

First time since Soph. year I haven't been the cook and host for a college-student thanksgiving.  It was nice not having to worry about the food, de-boning the chirkey, finding out who's bringing what and all..
I got to see my M'mouwh monster for our fourth thanksgiving dinner, and for that, I curse these 2500 miles, and the money required to bridge them.  'Cause, I'd be bridging them so much more often, if only I could.  My face unexpectedly leaked some salt-water, and I think that was a little more supporting evidence to the theory that going 33 days without seeing that shining, beautiful face is just 33 days too long..
Well.  Sent M'mouwh off with some cheesecakelettes and muffies back to LA, to give to Su, which is cool..
I would like to send her some more baked things... but unfortunately, the 7 hours it takes to fly cross-country -- plus the hours in transit -- are practically the minimum a muffin must travel to reach LA from the east coast.  I'd need to make a supreme batch of bakeables, something so delicious that I would have no choice but to send them.  I guess...  I guess that is my goal, then.  The perfect recipe to send su.  Perhaps cheesecakes, who knows.
I have now converted 2 anti-cheesecakers into cheesecake likers.  Surely that must speak well of the newly-found artistry of cheesecaking of which I am trying my best...

And now, there is grading and reading and homeworking.  Too much for one sunday.  But I gotta make up for my wonderful weekend.  Batten (sp?) down the hatches, it's time to set sail through the storm.
