Radio Silence
Whoo! It's been a few days since I updated. (unusual for me, I know)
I'm finally on vacation. I drove out from Denver yesterday, and despite having to hunt for a hotel at the last minute due to emergency medical issues within the family, resulting in my not having my usual place to stay, everything has been fine. I stopped in Salina, KS, and I did found that most "cheap" hotels are still about 70 bucks a nite. Thank goodness for Motel 6. Their sign says $37.99, and they actually mean it! (several other "chains" have such rates posted on their signs, but mysteriously have "no rooms left available at that rate".....*cough cough*bullshit*cough*. Hell, I just wanted a place to SLEEP, not a luxury apartment! Motel 6 was clean, cheap, and yes, they "left the light on for me".
Anyhoo, I made the rest of the drive today, and am at my hotel, safe and sound. I plan to spend the evening watching TV, and doing nothing in particular, just because I can for a change.
