Some time post-Chosen, Giles attempts to make sense of the blooming, buzzing mess of China, prodded by Buffy and Dawn. Only he seems to be coming down with something. He had the flu while he was there, as well, and it all gets muddled.
How can I convince you to go read this? I should mention the details that persuade you that this was indeed what happened when Giles went to retrieve Chao An. And I should mention the gruff and clumsy but well-meaning and affectionate Buffy. And the neat person Dawn is. And the Giles voice, which feels just perfect.
