Friday Rec: Season Six B/G Fics
Today, five season six stories in which Buffy drags a reluctant Giles back from England.
It Rains When She Arrives by unwinding (B/G - FRM). This has already been recommended here a couple of times, and why not? It’s a great short read. Giles is tired and wants to be free of the burden of Watching. Buffy isn’t going to let him go that easily. If she has to continue on, so does he.
Huntress (B/G - FRT) by Jaydn Michelle. This is a complex piece that ties a series of vignettes together. Slayers don’t walk in this world; they are creatures driven by primal needs. When Buffy is resurrected, she comes back wrong. And when Giles flees to England, Buffy hunts him down.
Paycheck (B/G - FRAO) by Rari Coss. Buffy discovers Giles is paid like a million dollars a year to be a Watcher, even though he's left her. Why should he get off easy, while she struggles with a lousy job at the Doublemeat Palace? Buffy decides to take what she deserves. I love this story, because Rari is one of the all-time greatest B/G authors ever, and because it is both sweet and sexy.
