REC: "Everybody's Got a Secret, Sonny" by Priya (Giles/Oz, adult)
Today I'm recommending a powerful post-"Chosen" story in which Giles goes to Maine in search of a new Slayer, and finds . . . Oz. Oz is coping perfectly fine with his life post-Sunnydale, and so is Giles, except that neither of them is actually fine at all.
"Everybody's Got a Secret, Sonny" is a lovely character study, with revealing, carefully-chosen details. Don't be put off by the fact that it's written in second-person POV; while I don't think the POV choice was necessary for the story to work, it doesn't really detract from the story's melancholy-but-hopeful effect.
