Days of Wine and Roses (B/G - FRT) by Sniggs
Today, I am recommending a story I first read over at the buffygiles velocity grass website. Fairfax has been one of my favorite authors for a while, and, in my usual fashion, I just realized that Fairfax is our very own sniggs. (I’ve got to say, the name changes are too much for a simple mind like mine.)
Days of Wine and Roses (B/G - FRT), by sniggs, is a post-series tale. Buffy has been living in Rome, feeling rather useless. When Giles comes to town, she thinks he is going to invite her to join him at the Council. Giles has other plans. This story has an actual plot with teeth. Buffy and Giles need to save the newly rebuilt Sunnydale from evil forces. They are also falling in love. This Giles is powerful, sexy, and complex--just the way I like him. And my favorite detail of all: Giles has been a smoker on and off forever. Maybe if we all read it, we can encourage the author to finish the sequel.
