I'm so sorry this is late--it completely slipped my mind that I was supposed to rec today (er, yesterday now).
But I hope it's some compensation that the novel-length story I'm reccing is truly wonderful. Book of Daniel took a rare and difficult-to-write pairing, Giles/Oz, and made it one of my Buffyverse OTPs. (Which is to say, please give this story a try even if Giles/Oz isn't a pairing you would normally contemplate reading, because Gloss will convince you.)
Book of Daniel is about a lot more than its pairing, though. It's a wonderful study of both characters, of Giles' role as a Watcher, of power and responsibility and desire. And it's beautifully written.
Please be aware that this story is set between S1 and S2; Oz is still in high school.
