Jhy's afternoon
Me: Jhy hon, your teacher tells me you're not always doing what she asks, and giving her long rambling excuses for why you're not following directions. What are you supposed to do when the teacher asks you to do something?
Solace: Say yes ma'am and do it.
Me: That's right Solace.
Jhy: Unless She asks me to do something bad.
Me: Yes that's right, then you'd say no ma'am, but is Mrs. Graves likely to ask you to do something bad?
Jhy: No, but what if she got annoyed that I wouldn't do something bad.
Me: Then you should tell me, or the principal, but I don't think it's likely that Mrs. Graves will ask you to do anything bad, what do you think?
Jhy: Well what if zombies broke into the school and were controlling her mind, then what?
Me: I promise, if zombies break into the school you won't get in trouble for leaving the classroom and going to the principal's office. But you know that's not going to happen.
Jhy: Yeah.
Me: Ok so are you going to pay more attention and do as the teacher says?
Jhy: Yes, and if zombies break into the school I'll just build super-powered robots to destroy them.
I'm not sure I got my point across.
Then he found a Real Live Scorpion (yes really, gotta love Texas) in his bedroom and the conversation was over.
