Henrik told me that all the H & M stores in Europe, have "100% Brazil" as their theme this season. So I checked out their site, and it was all about Rio. It was fun to see the pictures, movies and play the little games they have there. All of the pics were taken in Ipanema, not far from where I live. The people in the pics below are Brazilian models, but most of the ones we see in this neighborhood are just as hot. Go take a walk on this beach on a Sunday afternoon and you'll see what I'm talking about.
This is what they had to say about cariocas:
1) The people of Rio call themselves cariocas and take pride in an easy-going lifestyle. Looking and feeling good is important. Being on time is not.
2) In Rio a great tan equals a lot of time spent on the beach. Be proud. Tan lines are hot!
3) You don't need to bring anything to the beach. Only tourists bring towels. Female cariocas sometimes wear a sarong that can double as a sand stopper.
4) Cariocas are a friendly bunch. Rio has been voted friendliest city in the world on numerous occasions.
5) Cariocas like their life to have a sensual touch, so don't be afraid of the hugs and kisses that may come your way.
6) Cariocas like to talk and don't feel bothered by strangers on a crowded beach.
7) Whatever their shape and size, cariocas like to show off themselves. Life is too good to be spent in the gym, when there are beaches, bars and restaurants.
8) In Rio, life is lived to 100 %. One day cariocas party, drink, eat and dance the samba like there's no tomorrow and the next day they relax and do absolutely nothing.
If you're just sitting there, scratching your balls and you feel like exploring the site,
click here. Then click on "Inspiration", and then "100% Brazil by H&M". I could find the building where I live on the intro they play. The song is pretty annoying though.
Question: What does H&M mean? We don't have this in Rio, so I was just wondering.
P.S. Isn't it annoying how I talk about Rio all the time? Ugh.
