Fantasy Baseball

Just had my Fantasy Baseball draft. I like everything about my team except that I had to resort to getting Geovany Soto as my catcher. But then again, I usually skip the catcher category anyways. Besides Joe Mauer, every catcher's stats are almost the same: .280 avg + 15 hrs. And although I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan, there was no way I would draft Brian McCann when I could get someone like Adam Lind in the same round. I "punted" the catcher position in last year's league, (got Yadier Molina) and I ended up winning big, so I think this system works.

I'm also about drafting players with decent home runs + stolen bases. With the exception of Nyjer Morgan, who was a 3rd to last round no other option pick, my entire team looks to run the daylights out of most teams. Screw picking a Carl Crawford or Ellsbury, it's about team totals not one fast player.

I drafted in the last slot, 12 out of 12 teams, which kinda sucked. First of all, you got a long ass wait. Since drafts go ABBAAB format, I would like draft two players, and then wait 15 minutes until my turns comes ago. And by that time, all the players I had on my queue would be all gone. It's like, "Hmm...I like these players, let me put them on my queue..." and then every minute I would go, "fucccccccccck."

something like this face

My favorite draft picks were:
--Francisco Liriano - last round
--Daisuke Matsuzaka - second to last round
--Miguel Cabrera - 12th pick, 1st round
--Jason Bartlett - 18th round

Fluke or no fluke, I'll take a starting SS in the 18th round. And Liriano? Last round? Really? I can get a potential ace in the last round? And a Japanese guy named Matsuzaka in the second to last round? Most of the players picked up in those last rounds are going to be dropped anyways, so might as well use them to pick up risky, but high reward players.
