Maple Apple Crisp

OMG LOOKS SO YUMMY. The recommendations seem to agree that it turns out best with only 1/4 cup butter (instead of 1/2 cup), real maple syrup (not maple flavored), and with 1/2 tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg in the topping.

Crap, I'm hungry already. :)

EDIT: When I made this with 1/4 cup of butter, the topping was VERY dry. 1/3 or 1/2 cup of butter would probably be better.
