Did you ever have a fandom in your childhood (or have now and are afraid to admit to it, because the fandom was intended for pre-teens) that you've read authentically good fic for? Fic that just wasn't good 'for the fandom' but really, awesomely great? Fic that was, in fact, probably more mature and better written than the cartoon itself?
