[Wherever you are and whatever you may be doing, the world is about to stop for a split second - and you are about to get the worst headache, dizzyness and nausea spell you've ever had. It's brief- only a few seconds in duration - but take some comfort in the fact that you're not alone. Every Reploid in your immediate area clearly feels it too; either staggering or grabbing onto a wall or clutching a chair or stumbling as they walk. For those few moments the ground seems to swell, to lift up and push from underneath you. If you can analyze it at all in the moment that it happens, it seems to come from somewhere below you- maybe from the sea, maybe some levels down in the islands - but, still, you know it's from somewhere close.
It's easy enough to recover from once it's past; you pick up people asking themselves questions. Was that an earthquake or a sea quake? It's happened before... boy, I'm seriously thinking about a transfer now...]

This first event is mandatory and a plot marker, but most events going forward from here will be opt-in. I'll always be careful to let you know if it's a really important event.
