This is going to be interesting...typing in the dark wihtout glasses and with a headache that was compounded by crying. Please forgive any typos... I will try to edit.
Kaseifu no Mita is landmark for a couple reasons. The first is that the last episode got MASSIVE ratings that I think rivaled SMAP's Kouhaku performance this year. Epic. The other is that the first episode was watched on a flight home from NYC. And Jackie watched it! The whole way! *so proud*
Now, about the series...it was also pretty epic. The quality of the story was phenomenal. The acting was pretty amazing for a cast that's mostly kids. Kii blew me away. And my ovaries exploded a lil. The characters themselves were very well-developed and realistic. I was mad at pretty much everybody at once point or another. But they all came round in a satisfying fashion.
There's many things that I could say, but I think that most of them would be trite. So I'm going to close this up before I start waxing dull.
Keeper: kekko desu
Tissues: maybe half the box? earlier tissue-necessary episodes required restraint since they were watched in the office lunch room
Resolution: a full 10.0
