So the plan had been to throw something up on my facebook wall about this, but I wasn't in the mood for a rude remark from my mother...
I'm watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. (I came in rather late, so it's possible that I missed a lot.) First, there's a Hello Kitty balloon. No big. Then, there was the balloon of "Kiki" and "Kaikai" by an artist I'd never heard of but they looked rather familiar. And then there was the new Power Rangers - yeah, don't really care, but enjoyed the kanji on their helmets. Lastly, I thought, was the Pokemon float - another of the couldn't care less. But then! But then! The NYPD marching band was playing the theme for Space Battleship Yamato (except they mispronounced it as Yamamoto lol)! Well, I didn't catch any actual music. BUT they mentioned it on national TV! The fangirl in me almost exploded!!
And then Bollywood dance kicked ass! But Dora the Explorer should never be in 3 dimensions...I might have nightmares tonight.
