TOO MUCH STUFF {but yay, song?}

Apr 20, 2011 20:41

I went into today thinking I'd have hours of free time and I'd be able to naff about with the equipment I just unburied from storage, but between driving everyone everywhere and getting forms together and doctor appointments and hunting down cable adapters, I had maybe forty-five minutes tops to devote to this. I would've put it off if I didn't know that would likely mean putting it off for ever (at least, with my current track record), so the quality's kind of fail. I'm still somewhat proud of it, if only for the fact that I actually got to the recording stage at all. It needs cmoose to smack it around a little.

That's about it. Have a song.

"Sha-Da-Do" (mp3|128kbps|4.11MB)
ten o'clock on a sunday and it's
you, me, ten sentinel square
compliments are few, but it's open
we get nothing good
but it's high time you were going
anyway, she's run off with a stylist
he kisses fine but his perms are better

just the other day i was listening
to the good news
then the velvet teen wound me up
such useful little trinkets
the yellow card from saturday, it's
high time you were going, anyway
i threw most of my books in the harbour ...

sha-da-da-do, sha-da-da-dee, a-dee-da-oo-oo-ooh ...
sha-da-da-do, sha-da-da-dee, a-dee-da-oo-ooh.

we have a date, have a date
time for giggles and chinese whispers
leave it behind and i'll get there quickly
silver deserves a second try

sha-da-da-do, sha-da-da-dee, a-dee-da-oo-oo-ooh ...
sha-da-da-do, sha-da-da-dee, a-dee-da-oo-ooh.

and one day around the pier
listening to the good news
the beatles remind you of a baby, and the
mother's run off with the stylist
and i'm clinging to you because it's cold
it's high time i were going, anyway
i grew up at a tesco and the desert's no better ...

sha-da-da-do, sha-da-da-dee, a-dee-da-oo-oo-ooh ...
sha-da-da-do, sha-da-da-dee, a-dee-da-oo-ooh.

we have a lot to learn
sha-da-da-do, sha-da-da.

music, life wtf
