God life is good! everything is just falling into place at last. University is unbelievably interesting, Aaron is quite possibly the most wonderfull boyfriend ever! all i need now is a job and it'll be all good in tha hood.

the only 'downside' is i've had to have a few awkward conversations with mum in the last few days. The problem with being the youngest child is that mum will always think of me as being about 12 years old.

so awkward conversation number #1:

okay so Aaron has slept here a few times, but as far as mum knows i havent slept at his house. For some reason she is okay with him sleeping here but not me there, i think perhaps its because she thinks we're less likely to have sex if she's in the house, dont ask me why its just some kind of weird mum logic. This leads to some problems due to the fact that i live quite far away and Aaron doesnt have a car at the moment. So yesterday Aaron wanted me to come over his place(even though I'm sick) because he had tafe the next day and it was just easier, but that there wasnt much point if mum was just going to pick me up a couple of hours later. i had to agree, and so the time for the awkward converstation had come at last. it went something like this.

ME: Mum, Aaron wants to know if i can go round his place tonight.
MUM: okay, but how are you getting there?
ME: well if you could drop me off that would be good. (dont worry i knew what the next question would be)
MUM: and how will you be getting home?
ME: i probably wont be comming home until tomorrow because its just easier, and means you wont have to come pick me up (what i did there was try to make it sound like i was doing her a favour, very clever)
MUM: and what does his mum think of it?
ME: i assume she's okay with it or he wouldnt have asked
MUM: has anything happened yet?
ME: no.

awkward silence

MUM: how can you sleep together and nothing happen?
ME: its not hard (that may have been a half truth)
MUM: okay, but i hope your not doing anything stupid, because it could ruin you life!( personally i thought that was a little bit over the top, she may as well have given me the "if have sex you will die" speech)

this was followed by me laughing hysterically and having to leave the room.
So i went to his place and we had a lovely night, and a rather nice morning. then we had to get up because he had to go to tafe, we were going to meet up afterwards, but by the time he finished it was too late so we're meeting for lunch tomorrow instead. I went into the city and bought me some awesome asian stationary goodies from morning glory then went to meet mum at work.

this is where awkward conversation #2 occurred:

MUM: So what did you do last night?
ME: nothing much, watched a movie and the comedy debate thing and then went to bed.
MUM: So nothing happened?
ME: no.
MUM: Are you sure?
ME: i think i would have noticed if it had.
MUM: i suppose we should make a Doctors appointment.

This is a good outcome for a few reasons. firstly because it means she's realised i'm not a child anymore and secondly because i was supposed to go back to the doctors months ago because i was on the pill to help control my amaemia, but then i started to think that it was the reason i kept getting migraines, so i stopped taking it. So i really need to know if it was causing the headaches or not because other than that it worked like a charm and means i can kill two birds with one stone as it were
