While I'm not surprised that CA's Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8, I'm still disappointed.  It probably was a correct legal decision, but it's morally reprehensible for the majority to use their constitution to withhold legal rights from the minority, and the fact that it's harming FAMILIES, which the Religious Right claims to support, ( Read more... )

This is just silly.  You're pretty naive if you think that anything you say or write can't be intercepted by the government if they suspect you of doing bad things.  It's really not a conspiracy theory anymore.  I'm confident that they can and do tap into people's computers, landlines, and cellphones.  They have the technology to know where you go ( Read more... )

Some of you are on these drugs - I don't know how much of the body of scientific evidence about these drugs was based on this one guy's work (i.e., there might be legitimate research out there supporting their use), but if I were on one of them (knowing what I know about their side effects), I'd be calling my doctor in the near future to find out ( Read more... )
