I had a bad day yesterday :p Though I should say first the test came back normal. I'm NORMAL! *heheheh*
I had to have an outpatient procedure done at the hospital yesterday. I couldn't eat all day Tuesday... only clear liquids. What should have been a fairly normal procedure with little complications always has to be complicated for me. I couldn't have anything after midnight. No liquids, meds nothing. My head was pounding. By about 3 am I had a migraine. By 6am I couldn't take it anymore. I called my doctor and begged to be able to take my Imitrex. He said no. When I get to the hospital he would give me something in my IV. I had to force myself to get out of the bed to get ready. I was very dizzy and nauseous. We get in the car and we aren't even a half a mile from my house and I reach for the barf bags in my glove compartment. (why do I have barf bags you ask? I was on a field trip to Epcot and my boys were riding so many spinning rides I stole 4 barf bags from Mission Space. Yes, the ride is so bad they have barf bags at every seat) Anyway, my poor hubby had to listen to me hurl for about 10 minutes of the 30 minute drive. I had nothing in my stomach but it was uncontrollable.
We get to the hospital and the lady puts me on the list for check in. I go sit but I am sideways in the chair with my head down on the back. I fell in and out of sleep. Finally I asked my hubby to go up and ask what was taking so long. They friggin skipped me! They delayed me getting meds for 30 minutes! I wanted to kill them. I got up to the prep area and they were so nice to me. They got my IV in right away and had meds ready. I was knocked out almost immediately. The next thing I knew the nurse was trying to wake me up and I said "is it done?" The nurses and my husband were giggling. I was in and out of consciousness for a bit before I finally woke up. On the ride home I puked again. (thank gawd for those bags!) I crawled into bed and slept for hours.
Later my kids jumped in bed with me and were asking about it. I was telling them about how I never knew anything even happened. The next thing I knew I was asking if it was over. My husband came in and told the story of what went on. He said they woke me up several times and I was rambling incoherently over and over again. He did demonstrations. My husband is very animated so me and the kids were dying laughing. Now I know why the nurses were giggling at me. DOH!
