I applaud Secretary Salazar and his decision to rescend lease sales of oil and gas rights in Utah's red rock country. Many of these parcels were near to three major national parks in Southwest Utah and would have ruined sight lines and views beyond recognition.

In my ongoing coverage of Cabinet appointments let it be noted that former Senate leader Tom Daschle was named Secretary of Health and Human Services today.

Eric Holder, #2 at Justice under President Clinton, will most likely be named Attorney General.

Well it's official. I'm having another flare-up. Right now right knee and hand are starting to swell slightly.
