Yesterday I drove the hour needed to head down to South Savannah and the malls. The main reason for this trip. Sitting in a darkened theater with 3 other people and watching the biopic Milk. Today I saw Penelope. It finally appeared at the one theater closet to me so I didn't have to drive the hour to Savannah, just the 45 minutes to Bluffton. Bad reviews I've read aside, I personally thought it was a cute, quirky movie. Something that I really needed today. And of course the devilishly handsome James McAvoy doesn't hurt either.

The cast includes Eva Mendes, Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett Smith, Carrie Fisher, Annette Bening, Debi Mazar, Cloris Leachman, Candice Bergen, and Bette Midler.
