This past week has been incredibly ridiculous. The ridiculous-ness reaching its peak on tuesday, with the suspension of my drivers lisence. "Why was your lisence suspended Cameron?", you might ask, well i shall answer you. The state of michigan felt that the ticket i recieved two months ago (The ticket i recieved for a rolling stop) was worth suspending my lisence for two months.
I personally am both infuriated, and rather confused. I know of people, the same age as i, who have recieved tickets for such things as reckless driving, and in one instance, a DUI, who've not had thier lisence's suspended for even a day. That just doesnt add up if you ask me.
But since i've told that story so many times that i care not to talk about it anymore, i shall continue with the perfect conclusion to my perfect week. That conclusion being my day at work. I was placed on dish duty, something i've not ever done in my nearly 7 months of working at that blasted place. Well, as dish person, it is also my duty to deliver the trays of food which have been ordered by those old peoples that choose not to come down to dinner. Now, as i am nearly ready to deliver the two trays which have been ordered, this lady calls down and requests a tray (note that at this time it is about 2 minutes until we serve dinner to the people in the dining room). So i have to spend five damn minutes setting up her tray with the various dishes that she has ordered. Once i've completed that it is now my duty to deliver the trays, and it just so happens that the people who's rooms are furthest away from the dining room/kitchen, are the ones who've orderd the trays. So it takes me a good ten minutes to deliver three trays, which means i've now not been present in the kitchen for close to 15 minutes. Which in turn means that dishes have started to back up. Despite the fact that we had an extra person didnt mean that someone would take the initive to help me out and do the dishes while i was not present. So after delivery of the trays is complete, i come back to an insane amount of dishes stacked up, and not in an orderly manner. I wont delve into how disgusting the dishes were, since we had ramikens filled with tar tar sauce, rather just tell you that the subsequent two and a half hours were spent hurriedly doing dishes. The fact that people didnt finish bringing their dishes up until around 6:45 didnt exactly help with getting out of work on time. It was quite possibly the worst day of work.
its been a long day, i need lie down and rest.
post script: there are just so many spelling errors, and im far to lazy correct them.
