I could practically see the proverbial lightbulb click above her head, before we were both clothed and dumped in the lab Personally, I liked her bedroom, but if Fred wasn't comfortable for whatever reason, I understood. The God-King's sarcophagus sat in the middle of the room, just like the day Illyria had been reborn. The sight still made me proud. I mean, even if everything was still hazy, and it was Fred in front of me rather than an Old One, I had still done something big. I had earned the title of Qwa'ha Zahn, for however long I'd held it.
"Well, no...in real life", I admitted, "Oh! And your dreams! Which I guess doesn't count, huh?" I hopped up on a workstation, an informal gesture, and one I wouldn't have attempted when alive. It wasn't like anything could hurt me now. I practically had a no-pain policy. I was dead!
"I wouldn't forget for the entire world," I told her breathlessly, my fervor possibly more apparent than I would've liked. "You ascended that day." I shouldn't have been beaming at her, but really, I was proud of her. Not many get the honor of having an Old One inhabit their form, especially not an Old One as powerful as my God-King.
