Since age 16 those numbers above were the most important numbers in my life (silly, I know).
My financial freedom depended on those numbers. My ability to purchase and spend my hard earned dollars how I wanted was all dependant on those numbers ( Read more... )

We don't get the chance to get so attached to cards here, they're replaced too often for that, but I can kind of understand what you mean. Financial independence is a huge thing, but don't feel just because you have to replace your card that your independence has changed.

I know that... it's just a form of identity. If my social security number had to be replaced, I'd feel just the same. Those digits MEANT something to me.
Stupid, but true. I miss them :(
