Since age 16 those numbers above were the most important numbers in my life (silly, I know).
My financial freedom depended on those numbers. My ability to purchase and spend my hard earned dollars how I wanted was all dependant on those numbers.
I went 7 years using that number to unlock a world of shopping, traveling, gifting and regrets of spending as much as I had. I felt so grown up having my own "credit card" (which wasn't actually a credit card, just a Visa debit card but I could SAY it was credit, which made me feel special).
Anyways, it was stolen from my car a few days ago. Later was found in the ditch by my house but by the time it had been returned to me I had already canceled the card.
Honestly, it's just a piece of plastic and it was even fading and cracked and sometimes wouldn't even run through a scanner anymore BUT it was MY card. My 16 digits that unlocked a whole world.
I carried my card around in my wallet since Saturday when it was returned to me... just tonight I came around to disposing of it. I was very sad, pathetic, eh?
