Okay today was normal except 2 things:
1.)
Freakish hail storm!!! We were shelving on the top floor of the library, and I heard the pounding of little pellets. I looked at the window and lo and behold little balls were dropping from the sky, splashing in Lake Lasalle! It created quite a stir in the library. Everyone was worried that their cars were dented, but for the most part no damage was done.
2.) First Freshman orientation! All the newbies were wandering around with little nylon UB packs and name tags. Made me remember how awkward and nerve-wracking my orientation was. Anywho, I am in cahoots with Elise to try to figure out how to get some free food out of the whole orientation ordeals (there are like 8 of them). Actually, it's more like me trying to convince Elise that it's worth it. I'm trying to make her bring in her UB pack and name tag from Social Work orientation so I can look like a bewildered freshman.
So yeah. Hail storm tops that lengthy list as most exciting thing of the day. There is actually another storm coming in right now. Lighting, howling winds, thunder. I'm tired of all this global warming/climate change stuff causing more extreme weather events, dammit. Someone should DO something!
