yea, i had the pants categorized into jeans, slacks, sweats, and "others". the nazis only allowed me 8.

haha, now that you mention it, they totally do look like corn. lots of them are round parking lots, strange to see.

Yo, cool ass road trip. 42hrs straight driving?! Damn, you are road warriors, I bow down before thee.

Loved the Timmy bit... sounded like something straight out of South Park.

Wyoming and Utah full up... I don't believe it. Maybe they thought you were aliens, and afraid of the anal probing.

Gotta give you props though.. haven't done the cross country roadie before... it's on my to do list before I die.

what can i say, except that we're TROOPERS...

to their credit, most of the people in the midwest were super nice...when they werent staring. when i was in the bathroom at the gas station/dairy queen, a woman walked in and chirped "good morning!" at me. i was so stunned that it took me a few seconds before i mumbled hello. damn, now they're gonna think all us asians are rude.

you should definitely do the cross country. make sure you've got an ipod and friends that you know you wont get sick of after endless hours.

Wow...you're doing the trip I've been meaning to do for the past three years, only backwards! LOL

It's funny how you think Canadian customs offciers are rude. I'd say that going to the US means facing much ruder officials than coming back. I guess it has to do with US/Canada relations right now.

my friend suspects both sides are just rude to foreigners- security is heightened when you're entering a different country and more lenient when you're re-entering your country of citizenship.

im so clueless when it comes to things like US/canada relations...do we have beef?

to your credit, the customs officer in the adjacent booth was a little cutie.

I agree with the heightened security, but ever since 9/11, the US customs officials at the drive thru borders are just so less jovial than before. i.e: "Hold your passport out...No, hold them ALL out one time." with always the veiled implication that they will not let me in if I can't hold 4 passports out the car window for them to see.

The US airport officials on the other hand are downright friendly. Oh well.

I wouldn't say that we have beef between us. Not anymore so than before. Canada is just the 51st(?) state that refuses to join the USA...=)

my friend said that the last time she went to canada was pre-9/11 and border patrol didnt even require passports.
and it's painfully obvious that anyone who cant do a simple thing like holding 4 passports in one hand shouldnt be allowed in this great nation...
