So...my dentist rocks and is fixing my toof fo free since he is the one who screwed up in the first place. So I did not have to go to the dentist he referred me to on Friday andpay him $1300 to fix it which was stressing me out. I am going this coming Thursday at 10:45 am which I just realized is semi-problematic, but not really. I am going to see Basement Jaxx at Webster Hall Wednesday night (and I have just been informed via telephone that my friend Eddie is going too thanks to my tip that it hadn't sold out, yeah-yuhhh!) which is when I was originally planning on going home. So now I just have to get up semi-heinously early on Thursday morning and do the bass ackwards commute home instead. Hopefully that will occur without incident.
Umm...I am trying to think of wtf has been going on lately. I am really tired right now so it is a bit difficult.
Well prior to finding out that I was saved from hellish dental fees I had been in hermit mode in an effort to save money. Seriously...come home from work, cook dinner, watch Who's the Boss, hang out with Anthony for a little bit, repeat.
But then I found out I wouldn't have to pay so I promptly went to Kim's and bought some albums:
Mylo- Destroy Rock and Roll (which I bought the import of a year and half ago, which Eddie borrowed in April and still has, but the domestic version has Dr. Pressure and it was used and $7, so I just bought it and now Eddie can keep the original).
Talking Heads - '77
Basement Jaxx - Kish Kash
The Double - don't remember the name of the album
I have listened to them all already and they all pretty much bang in some capacity or another, so I'm happy. I was getting sick of my cd's. Oh speaking of that, my boss was getting sick of his and mentioned it to his friend Anne (who I had stereotyped as this yuppie, manolo-wearing priss) and she brought over this huge binder of cd's and she had a ton of good shit - the Chems, Fatboy Slim, Radiohead, Dimitri from Paris. It made me feel like a big judgemental asshole. So I am going to try not to be like that. So...that rocked b/c I brought my laptop to work the other day and imported a bunch of the albums. Yeah-yuhh!! I will do the rest on Tuesday if Eric still has the cd's.
Ugh...god I am so tired. This entry will have to be in installments. Consider this part 1.
