Chapter 2(Chace/Tay Fic)

Summary: The rise and fall of the relationship between Chace Crawford and Taylor Momsen

A/N: I’m really glad that you guys liked the first chapter! All your comments made my day plus I’m super excited that I get to continue. I already have the timeline and everything so I would have been super bummed if I didn’t get to finish. Anyway basically what I am saying is enjoy!
Connor and Taylor had just arrived at the Christmas party for the cast and crew. Taylor looked around the room to see who had already arrived. She could see Leighton and Sebastian talking with Blake and Penn in a corner. Ed was flirting with a group of girls but Chace wasn’t with him. Taylor looked over at the bar to see if he was over there but she didn’t see him. He was here he had text her saying so early, she shrugged it off assuming she would find him later. Connor was dragging her over towards the other cast members
“Taylor, Connor! You made it.” Leighton said giving them both a hug
“Where’s everyone else?”
“Oh Ed, Jessica, and Chace are around here somewhere.” Leighton motioned around the room casually
“It’s stuffy in here so I’m going to get some air. I’ll talk to you guys later.” Taylor headed towards the balcony
When Taylor stepped out onto the balcony she spotted Chace smoking and drinking with a bunch of the crew members. Chace seemed to sense her because he looked up instantly to give her a sly smile. Taylor walked up to the group and they all gave a chorus of “Hey Taylor” ‘s.
“Hey Taylor” Chace looked intensely into Taylor’s eyes before looking down
“Hey Chace” Taylor smiled
“How’s your break been?”
“It’s been really good.” Taylor smirked “Well I’m going to go make my rounds and say hi to everyone else. I’ll see you later?”
“Yeah”
Taylor had made her rounds and it appeared that she had said hi to everyone. Taylor spotted Connor talking with everyone in a corner. Taylor walked over to join the group.
“So Taylor what have you been doing on your time off?” Blake turned her attention to Taylor
“Oh you know finishing up Christmas shopping and hanging out with friends.”
“Do we know any of these friends?” Ed smirked thinking if they only knew
“Oh no just some girls from school.” Taylor said innocently
“Well we have got to find you a boyfriend.” Leighton added
Chace coughed and Ed’s smirk only grew bigger “Oh that’s okay I’m really enjoying being single and with the show, school and my music I’m pretty busy.” Taylor smiled
“How is the music coming along anyway?” Penn asked
Taylor got the biggest smile on her face “Oh it’s going really well I wrote some new songs the other day….”
Chace watched Taylor talk about her music and he could see the pure joy it brought to her life. It made him think of when they first started becoming friends.
Taylor and Chace weren’t needed for another scene for awhile and they decided to go get some coffee while they waited.
“So what’s new?” Chace asked
“Well actually I haven’t told anyone yet so you are the first to know. Someone from Interscope Records contacted me the other day. Apparently someone told them about my band Pretty Reckless and they are interested in signing us!”
“Wow Taylor that is amazing!”
“I know I am so excited! I mean I love acting but with my music I can just be me and not have to worry about anything.”
“Well you’ll have to give me sample of your music maybe do a special concert just for me.” Chace smiled down at Taylor
Taylor smiled “Maybe that can be arranged.”
“Chace did you hear me?”
Chace had been starting out into space and looked over at Penn “No I’m sorry what did you say?”
“I said have you heard any of Taylor’s music yet?”
“Oh yeah I have, it’s great you guys will love it.” Taylor smiled at Chace remembering the same conversation between the two awhile back.
“I’m going to go to the restroom.” Taylor made her way to the bathroom upstairs
“I’m going to go get another drink” Chace said walking away from the group and the opposite direction of the bar. Connor looked back at the group realizing that no one else seemed to notice.
A/N: I know I know everyone is probably like what no kiss? But I tried to put the kiss in here but it didn’t flow with the consequences of the kiss so I had to spilt the one chapter I wrote into two chapters. I’m hoping to finish the second part of this chapter and upload it this week as well.
