There's no business like show business
Last week, my mom, my aunt, and I went to see Oliver. My mom and aunt have been to New York City 3 or 4 times since I graduated college. My aunt cleans for rich people who have an apartment in one of Trump's buildings. Anyway, I've always wanted to go, but she never invites me.
This last time they went, she took her two nieces on her side of the family. See, she's only my aunt because she WAS married to my dad's cousin... so really, we're not closely related. Anyway, still, I've never been invited and always wanted to go.
I told her about when I went to see Kass for New Year's, and how we spent the day in the city. I wonder if it will CLICK in her mind to invite me next time they go. I sure hope so.
My mom moved to NYC after high school and lived in the village. She PROMISED to take me after I was done with college. Well, that was 6 years ago. I don't think she's going to keep that promise.
