While I don't want to live at home forever, being here and having both of my brothers home has some very excellent things about it. I like the _idea_ of cultures who keep multiple generations living under the same roof and just seperate different houses off within the compound or different sections off within the house. Of course... that only works if you have rules about which family a married couple goes goes to... and, failing that, it only works if you marry someone in your own village/city.
More than anything, the idea of multi-generational homes only works if everyone gets along reasonbly well. Like the (wo)man says,"you can't choose your family." I realize that, despite being stiff, unhuggable people, my little nucelear family and I are very lucky.
I'm sure I won't have these thoughs, saaay, tomorrow. But for today, I'm feeling very cheerful about my siblings and my parents and glad to have everyone home.
