[Khydann] faith and feathers

I'm still angry about that. Not about the cultist--drugged, brainwashed, mind-controlled, whatever; his damn cult has probably driven hundreds of innocents to their deaths and worse, at some point he chose to go join them. But the bird didn't have a choice. She doesn't know about politics, religion, worshipping Old Gods and making devices to contain or summon or whatever elements to attack people.

I hunt and kill animals all the time, but I don't make them suffer just to make some stupid rhetorical point. I could have punched that shu'halo when she stabbed through the bird to get to the cultist.

It's getting harder to sleep. The earthquakes are becoming more frequent and more severe; they wake me up from a sound sleep like somebody shaking me awake in the middle of the night. The sleeping teas Proudwolf gave us aren't enough to keep us asleep through the entire night anymore. Even if there are earthquakes in Outlands, surely they won't affect the floating islands in Nagrand? I know Rosh won't want to leave when there's a possibility that he might be needed, but if his sleep keeps getting disturbed, he's not going to be any good to anybody if something does happen. I don't like it either, it feels like running away, but we can't fight the ground. And neither of us are shamans--not that the shamans have been able to do anything about this either. Maybe we can catch up with Ceirin, find out where she's holed up and stay with her while this works itself out. She seems like a sensible blood elf, one of the few I've met.

Tomorrow I'll take the sparrow back to Ratchet to see if she wants to return to her home territory... assuming that her home territory is in Ratchet, which I'm not at all sure of. After the healing and calming charms and feeding her, she may well have attached herself to me and be unwilling to leave. I don't mind. Maybe that's the rhetorical point she was meant to make.
