One Week Left
I can't believe how fast the time has gone, though it's pretty much as I expected...
The past two days have been a trifle stressful, besides being the primary reason I absolutely insisted on making this trip at this time:
Saturday was the barbecue, an unqualified success from the weather to the food and company.
Sunday was the last day of solid foods for a bit, which made Monday and Tuesday ever so slightly tense... and have you ever been required to consume a gallon of non-alcoholic liquid in a finite space of time? The last time I did so, the liquid was beer and I was 22; neither condition still exists...
Fortunately, the result is a clean bill of health, if an equally blank mental slate. I was warned that there might be short-term memory loss... well, what else might one expect during a period of anesthetization? At least I slept well for the first time this week.
Too much information? Not enough? Oh well...
Total inundation of CNN nonstop broadcasting is blasting my brain. At least my fine hostess with the mostest has put her foot down and declared that there will be no news viewing while she is home working or resting. That helps... a bit. Of course, the situation is also making me question whether or not I really want to get a tv for the house in Hawaii... Gotta love the irony...
So what are you paying for gas these days? I shoulda got a moped... Time to dust off the shoes and start getting these feet walking again, I guess... when I get back... Today it's much too hot and far to go anywhere anyway...
