Oh Dear.

I had this idea for a story and I really wanted someone else to write it since when I had the original idea I was not writing fanfic. I wasn't even writing. (I think I stopped writing down my ideas for novels in the late 90s sometime. I have never not written, but other than the odd page of erotica or a poem ot three per year, I haven't seriously written anything since, oh I dunno, 1992?)

I started writing again in January. I started writing fanfic. I wrote a bunch of stuff, starting with a huge MFU/NCIS crossover that ate my journal. That one was 47,000 words. (That's novel territory, yo!) I wrote some MFU only stories, the two longest of those are 16,954 and 10,891 words long (novella territory).

Then I got a wild hair to go back to that idea I had for that story that I liked the sound of, since I am writing again anyway, I should see about doing that one. I have started Chapter Ten and the story so far is 19,785 words and I am nowhere near done with all the lots and lots of stuff that needs to happen in Chapter Ten.

Have I proven to myself yet that I have a novel in me somewhere?
