You might have read one or more of my posts, recalling the days when broadcast channels regularly broadcast classic, black and white movies, all the way up through the early 1980s, when they instead began no movies at all, but instead syndicated reruns of TV shows.

I've gone through more years of not having cable, than having it, but I've had it often enough to know that that various cable channels with names like American Movie Classics prefer that you think of them only by their acronyms, so you won't really expect them to live up to their names. MTV was great fun in its first decade or so, when you could tune in and watch music videos at any time of the day or night.
