laws and morality

so I have been struggling with the idea of morality for a long time. For the past few years I have not believed in a Right and Wrong in the universe. there are things which are acceptible in society for people to do and things that aren't. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't follow them. They are just the rules we agree to live under by living in _____ (America, College, Cambodia ect). People really love to argue with me when I say stuff like this because it makes them feel anxious. One of the best arguements I have heard is that there are laws which dictate how things work in the world and that morality is akin to physics. I agree that there are rules in the world and that people must follow them so I was always at a loss for how to respond. I think I figured it out now:

People do follow universal laws which they are bound by. They just don't have a choice in the matter. For example there are laws about learning, about birth, and about death that are true for every thing. Children are born from mothers. Everyone dies. People pursue pleasure and avoid pain (some people argue this one but I think I am right). These are the same kinds of laws which govern apples falling to the ground and the ideas of string theory. They are also explain why baking soda and vinegar make such a cool foux volcano. What isn't a rule is that murder is wrong. If murder was wrong people wouldn't do it. If murder was right, everyone would do it. It is thus amoral.

I am pretty sure I am right about this. The question is how do you build a society based on these rules? WHO WANTS TO ARGUE? ARGUEING IS FUN
