Politics based on misunderstanding and deception. This defines the democrats of this country. John Martins post on livejournal about equal opportunity made me want to talk about this.http://instruct.westvalley.edu/lafave/hb.html This is a good short story about equal opportunity that a friend of Johns had on his live journal. Nobody in their right minds wants equal opportunity they want freedom of opportunity by and voluntary methods possible. Actually I have to digress right here because im sure their are some people who really want equal opportunity no matter what kind of handicap they have. These people are usually good at decieving the public, usually emotionally, that they want the same end.

As Milton Freedman said in his book (is that how his last name is spelled?) and I paraphrase "the end is noble while the means are totally wrong." Another quote from somebody of whom which I forgot their name but "The end justifies the means." What people do is use the latter statement while not considering the former. Sometimes the ends might justify the means but if you never get to the correct end their is no justification. An example of that would be social security. This was supposed to take the place of direct government relief but as Milton Freedman so frequently points out usually when you start a temporary govornment program it not only becomes permanent but expands. So social security failed at its task. Democrats dont want to privatize why??

We all now know that despite the way social security is supposed to work it doesnt work out that way. The money is supposed to go in a trust which is the supposed to supplement retirement or at least give you a minimal existence instead of direct relief from the government that people dont personally pay into. So the govornment barrows from social security because they are bloated and have no control. How can you barrow from social security. Your not barrowing at all but stealing what individuals put into it. How will the government pay it back? Print more money and put it in? Inflate our economy like they so love doing? Is this progressive?

What is progressive anyways? Definately not the progressive party that claimed to be helping farmers in a "progressive" way back in the podunk era. The progressive party of that time (im going on pure middle school memory) seems to be in itself a paradox or maybe an oxymoron. The word progressive in todays politics is the most decietful word out their especially because it is a direct contradiction to its dictionary definition. The word "freethinkers" is another of such oxymorons the leftists of this country like to use.
