A little update.
Well, I was somewhat productive today, at least in terms of fannish things. I've been wanting to redesign Fated my Stuart/Astrid fanlisting since pretty much the day I created it over a year ago. I had actually done up at least one other layout design that I didn't like. I might have done two layout designs that didn't work. However, last night I did a new design that I'm pleased with, based off this icon I made a few weeks ago. I like it because it's sort of summer-y and that makes me happy. I also love all three pictures I chose, even if the solo one of Astrid was taken several years after Stuart's death. Anyway, it's an extremely simple layout and almost identical to the icon but I'm pleased with it. It serves its purpose and looks streamlined. Definitely more attractive than the first layout I had, I think.
Now I just need to redesign Dreamers my John/George fanlisting. Ha. Ah well, I don't dislike that layout nearly as much as I disliked the Stu/Astrid one. All in good time, anyway.
I did a rather impressive manip the other day for the author of With Strings Attached but I haven't heard back from her about it. I'm a little worried that it's because she hated it. I hope she'll write me even if she did, so I can try to fix it. I took some artistic liberties with the design of her character and I hope that they didn't turn her off the picture. I spent a very long time doing it so I'd like for her to enjoy it. I want to show it off here too but I don't want to post it here until I get the approval from her. Ah well.
In other, more personal, news I'm considering moving out of London and perhaps back to Camberley near my parents. I've been doing the same job for two years now and I feel like I'm just not making enough money to justify staying in London. I could probably get a similar job to what I have here closer to home and be able to afford a bigger flat for less money and still have some extras to spend on fun things. The cost of living in London is just too high and I don't go out and "enjoy" the city as it is. I'd rather spend money for a train ticket out here when I want to go to London. It will be much cheaper in the long run. I'm still debating on it.
Does anyone know where some nice mood themes are? I think it's about time I put one on my journal, I just don't know where to find them and I'm currently too unmotivated to make one myself. Well, strike that -- I got a lovely new HELP! one created by ignited. :D
