Thank you! I was struck by Sam and Janet's reactions to watching the video of Apophis' death in "Rules." The fact that Sam looked at Janet was evidence she remembered how Janet had reacted then. A nice subtext moment for us. :D

I find that lately whenever I watch an episode I want to add to it...maybe its what's blocking me...I have all these episode tags stuck in my head from the marathon last week..lol

I really like this - great add-on to the ep.

And to Teryl's credit? She got exactly this across in the ep.

Such a difference from Carson with the Wraith retrovirus thing. He acted much more like a scientist than a doctor, which I think is why I had such a problem with that whole thing.

While I'm kinda with the team on the whole Kill 'Em All! attitude towards Apophis, much rather have Janet's attitude toward her patient as a doctor.
First do no harm and all that.

Thank you very much! Teryl was fantastic in this episode. The lines she was given could have let her go either way, I think, but it was how she stood and the expressions that showed how angry she felt at the whole thing. I love the shot of her walking out of the gate room at the end. It always gets me like a slap in the face that she's, for the moment, done with everybody there.

That's another thing I liked about the episode... it wasn't "Daniel's right and Jack's wrong." Apophis DID deserve to die, repeatedly and horribly. After everything he'd done in the past, he had it coming. But I loved that everyone came at it from a different viewpoint. Except Sam... she didn't really come out very strongly for either side. Torn between her CO and her girlfriend, I suppose. ;-D

I do like Carson, but... yes, I would LOVE to have seen Janet's reaction to the Wraith retrovirus.
