Fabric Painting - tshirts
For playing Maho Minami at Animazement. Just need to finish the "cay" on the long sleeve and maybe make one other and I could wear different outfits the whole weekend! The jam shirt was painted using a shipping label as the resist. Will be doing the same for the "cay". Built the "cay" shirt from 2 short sleeve tshirt.
Marked and cut along diagonal line from collar to lower arm seam.
Opened former sleeve and used as basis for pattern - had to adjust taper to make 8" cuff, but used bottom hem of shirt to save a step in sewing.
Opened collar only at neck side of shoulder seam to insert upper edge of ragland sleeve. Re-sewed collar and refinished neck line.
at collar edge both inside and out applied masking tape to protect shirt from excess paint. Painted ribbed collar fabric - collar from the red shirt had already been used to finish the 55 shirt.
