Slip Stitch Dotted Mitts

Features: Long enough to cover fingers or folder down. Slip stitches make it look like intarsia color work.
First pattern written. Please give feed back if not clear. Thank you.
Materials:
US 9 double pointed
main color (Gingerbread) = C1
accent color (Glacier) = C2

Pattern:
(Repeat 6 rows, over even number of Stitches)
R1 C1: K round
R2 C2: K1, S1 round
R3 C1: K round
R4 C2: K round
R5 C1: S1, K1
R6 C2: K round

Main Color (C1):
CO 36, distribute and join. Place marker and slip each round.
2 x 2 rib - 12 rounds
K 2 rounds
Work Pattern starting on R4. Work through 6 complete repeats (13 stripes - top and bottom in accent color) Thumb Gussett worked starting in first row of second repeat.

Thumb Gusset - started 8 st from end (left hand - on first needle, right hand - on 3 needle).
After st 8, place marker, work st 9 and 10 Kfb, place marker (increase 2 st). In following K rounds, kfb first st after Marker1 and before Marker 2 - 3 times (total 10 stitches between markers). Finish thumb gussett with a k round (R6 of pattern) - slip 10 st onto stitch holder. Next round, CO2 st and join.

Top rib 2x2 rib for 12 rows, BO in ribbing.

Finish Thumb
Pick up 2 st, work 3 stripes (end on R3 of pattern). Work 2x2rib for 6 rounds. BO in ribbing.
