New Years meme!
....Amazingly I haven't done a meme in over a year. Outrageous!
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Moved across the country to Colorado. Went snowboarding. Drove on snow. Went through an actual winter. Went whitewater rafting.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I totally forgot I made one last year but it looks like I kept it. My resolution for this year is to decide if I really want to move to Denver and to do so at the end of the summer if that's my ultimate decision.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not this year.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
A bit more money. Somewhere where this is a night life. A long term boyfriend?
7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May because that was the month when I packed up all my shit and moved across the country. Initially moving here was an extremely trying time for me, being that I had barely any money, I didn't have a place to live, the manager's at my job were very hard on me, and I didn't know anyone.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting through everything and making a better life for myself.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not having an actual career to speak of.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing this year!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I got so much stuff through yard sales and second hand stores that are so awesome its hard to pick but I'm going to say a Japanese painting of three old men sitting under a tree writing scrolls that I got for a dollar because it was damaged. I freaking love that painting and was the pinnacle of my decision to decorate my living room with Japanese stuff (except for the couch....which is flowers and kind of annoying but everyone claims it is psychedelic).
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Can't think of anyone offhand.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The customers at the ski resort sometimes. I'm sure I'll rant about it later.
14. Where did most of your money go?
My apartment.

New Years party.

Happier.

Went to Breckenridge with my two roommates and the guy I was dating at the time. I was 25.

GETTING TO GO TO THE BAHAMAS. Getting a good job and having more money.

My mom and dad. My roommate.

I miss my mom and my dad now that he has left for the winter. He'll be back in the summer though so honestly it's not that far away.

There are so many I can't really say. My boss at the rafting company was awesome but she has kind of disappeared off the map. My roommate is definitely up there too along with my old roommate's that moved to Breckenridge for the winter.

Don't give up. Life can always get better. Surround yourself with good people and enjoy as much as you can.
