Things That Made Me Upset Today
1. It's been almost 2 weeks since Brittany Zimmerman was murdered and it dawned on me that I've been getting increasingly nervous when I take showers or go to bed. I'm already pretty OCD about making sure my door is locked and this isn't helping--especially since the evidence shows her apartment was broken into, so the issue of keeping doors locked is a moot point.
2. I went to a lecture for Holocaust Theatre given by Pierre Sauvage, a documentary maker, about whether America did enough to stop the Holocaust. It was a good lecture, but it was tainted by the local "Free Palestine" group who passed out flyers, as if they were a part of the lecture, connecting the Holocaust to Israel's "ethnic cleansing of Palestineans." NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE MISUSE THE HOLOCAUST FOR MORAL RELATIVISM! STOP USING IT FOR SITUATIONS WHERE IT DOES NOT APPLY AND HAS NO CONNECTION!
3. Watching Olivia almost get raped on SVU made me feel ill.
