Nana P

Have I told you lately; I think I have been channeling my Nana P.  She was unconventional. I did not understand or appreciate her until I was older. She didn't coddle us. The first card games I learned from her where, War, and Go Fish. The next was Black Jack and Shanghi. She played the horses and bet on sporting events. She owned a Liquor store. "Country Liquor" in New Canaan, CT. I miss her now.

The other night, I was in the kitchen cooking pork chops and onions and potatoes. I picked up an oven fried pork chop and started eating it. Right there, in the kitchen. No plate, no knife, just the taste of oven fried pork yum.
