Beware of fangirl

Mar 16, 2008 00:06

I am hyperventilating.

I have just found out that Tanya Huff is appearing at a convention here in May. Last I checked, she hasn't actually got a restraining order against me (an oversight on her part I'm sure, but I'll take it) and so there's nothing preventing me from following her around that entire weekend like a creepy, creepy shadow. One who can't talk, because I'll be too busy hyperventilating at being five feet away from Tanya Huff.

I can tell you right now my camera will die a horrible death that weekend. Probably five minutes before I get to the convention. I have no luck with cameras that way. But perhaps if I improve my sign language between now and then, I can tackle Ms Huff for long enough to get her to sign all the books I have by her. She'll probably finish up by signing that restraining order, since it'll take her a while to get through the huge stack of Huff novels I own, and the whole while, I'll be creepily silent and hyperventilating and such, but it won't erase the fact that my books will be signed. They'll make such a wonderful addition to my shrine.

There are, of course, a number of other authors attending, including Eric Flint, who has a number of books on my shelf.

TANYA HUFF!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog and apologize for the interruption. We'd also like to apologize in advance for the disturbing fangirl glee that will splatter all over this site in May.
