getting there
moving day is soon approaching! am i close to finishing the apartment??? nope. not even. but things are coming along. i think things are starting to look pretty good. my landlord is getting into all of these renovations. instead of me laying vinyl tiles he's getting a contractor to come in and lay ceramic tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. that will be cool. hmmmmm... so much left to do.
things that have been done:
-ceilings, walls and most of the trim have been painted in the livingroom, bedroom, bathroom, office and kitchen
-landlord installed a new closet
things that still need to be done:
-finish painting trim and doors
-clean up all paint on wood floors
-scrape paint off of windows
-install shower walls and new shower fixtures
-put up new medicine cabinet
-lay vinyl tiles in back hallway
-maybe stain kitchen cabinets if i have time
things that the landlord's contractor is going to do this week:
-lay ceramic tile in the bathroom and kitchen
-replace old crappy window in the kitchen with a new one
-fix back door frame so i feel safe
-put new vanity counter in bathroom with new fixture
-maybe install shower and fixtures so i don't have to
i'm going to cry now. it seems like so much still needs to be done. it really has come a long way, though. saturday is the official moving day. cody's picking up the u-haul on friday night and he'll start packing it up immediately and then drive up to rochester on saturday. the annoying thing is we have to go back to buffalo on sunday and do a walkthrough with our old landlord. i'm just looking forward to getting moved and getting to relax finally. i'm so tired i'm completely rambling. must sleep.....
