exciting news!
i worked super hard on the apartment today but i'll get to that later. tonight i went to a local photographers open house and on my way i got a call from my creative director at the company i've been freelancing for the past few months with. tomorrow i'm meeting the main creative director guy because their going to offer me a full time position. woohoo. i'll be employed again without having to do the freelance scramble. i'm still planning on freelancing- but at least i won't have to depend on freelance jobs as my only income. i'm so excited but completely shocked too. this was the last thing i was expecting right now. new city, new apartment and new job. change is good. change is good. change is good. i just can't believe their offering me a position. my mind is completely flooded with all this new stuff to process!!! i'm just excited that i'll be employed and making steady money. yay....
so, about the apartment today....
things i did:
1. took off all outlet and switch covers
2. pulled out all nails and screws out of the walls
3. spackled all holes
4. peeled off old vinyl tiles and prepped floor in front of kitchen sink
5. dug out all old nasty cauk around the tub
things to do tomorrow:
1. clean all crevices with the shop vac that my friend jon is dropping off to me
2. pull vinyl flooring that's under fridge and stove
3. kilz wood paneling in back stairwell
4. clean back stairwell
5. peel out all old contact paper out of kitchen cabinets
6. sand all spackle patches
hopefully, i'll get that all accomplished tomorrow and then start to paint tomorrow night or saturday morning. i'm pretty exhausted right now. time for sleep.............
