there's a piece of news that's being shared around too much this past week, about Japan becoming visa-free for Filipinos.
frankly, the way some websites put it, it's already a done deal: it's starting on June!

to be honest, it looks like our government (or the Philippine Ambassador to Japan, at least) is bypassing Japan on this (which i think is never a good idea.) it really sounds like he/they announced the "good news" so it would generate public reaction/clamor, which will eventually "pressure" Japan into making this official.

i'm worried that this "move" by the Ambassador would backfire and will actually cause stricter policies in granting Japanese visas to Filipinos.
