Dismayed.
I just watched Arashi's Kouhaku 2013 performance.
I thought I'd been ready. I braced myself for another lip synch-ed performance with over-the-top dancing courtesy of Aiba-Jun-Nino. After all, isn't that what they often do nowadays?
I was less than a minute to the end of it. When Nino sang "Karada juu sakenderu," I felt a huge wave of disgust and all of a sudden, I was like,
Naglolokohan na lang ba tayo dito?
...
I know. I shouldn't judge them for their music and their singing b/c it's just not fair.
But music and the passion to sing is a big thing for me and I was totally dismayed at how they had the balls to show this half-hearted performance to the millions of people who wait for this special program on New Years' Eve.
After some time, the pa-cute, the winking, the forced facial expressions, the exaggerated dance moves and the fan-service won't be enough anymore. I hope they realize this.
These guys are talented, and it pains me to see them like this.
