aching feet

Went to Accenture this morning to get their formal job offer. Yes folks, it's official: I am actually employable. Shocker. Anyway, I had to answer 3 essay questions before we got to discussing the contract and other requirements. Everything I needed to learn about BS-ing people, I learned from Pisay and UP. Because of said training in BS-ing, I ( Read more... )

accenture? what'll you do there? :P

"It's just that I've been a shirt-jeans-sneakers person since birth and turning into a Makati yuppie was the worst thing imaginable..."

well said! although it's sort of a nice idea to challenge one's fashion sense with a corporate-look requirement (y'know, looking good while not looking like a mindless yuppie). not that i'm able to do it now!

Oh yeah. Any advice on the matter from an IT grad to a non-IT grad?

Well kung marunong ka, at logical ka, I guess that's it. Just hope you don't get bored easily! I really wouldn't know exactly what the job there calls for kasi hindi yun ang line ko ngayon. But I'm still curious why you wanted an IT/programming job? Ba't di ka nagshift or something? Hehe. :D

Uhm, I consider myself to be a logical person but I don't know squat about programming (hence the hesitation). I love Bio. On the off-chance that I would have shifted, it would have been to BAA and definitely not CompSci or anything else in Engg.

I don't exactly want it in the OMG-I-really-really-want-this-job type of way. It's just that I couldn't find anything Bio-related and at least this one offers training... Lousy reason for a drastic change but there you go.

training is good. i envy people who get trained at their job. pisay at up ka naman eh, i believe you'll get anywhere with _that_ training. ingat lang kasi if you won't be able to get out of it and there's a better opportunity out there, sayang. :D good luck!!

ayyyyy! i have a proposal. pero the person who mentioned the prospect to me hasn't contacted me in a while. ano email mo? sabihin ko sa yo. :P (this one's definitely bio-related PLUS business!)
